Power Wheelchair Soccer Have you heard about this up and coming sport designed specifically for power wheelchair users?  Oh most have heard about wheelchair basketball, some have even heard about wheelchair hockey and wheelchair football.  But, what about those of us that don’t have the arm muscles to propel a wheelchair let alone throw a ball. That’s where Power Wheelchair Soccer comes in to play.  Recently a Power Wheelchair Soccer team from Mesa came to Tucson to exhibit the sport and encouraged participation for those who came to check it out.  It was very exhilarating to use my wheelchair to maneuver the ball around the court, I even scored a goal. We are currently in the process of forming a team to play Power Soccer here in Tucson, but we still need you!  We need fun loving individuals between 5 and 105 years of age who use and are able to fully operate their power wheelchair.  We also need volunteers to assist with coaching, court set up, and assistance with attaching and detaching foot guards to the wheelchairs for playing the game.
